TAMPA, FL – Join the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce in honoring the cultures of Ybor City during the 767th Fiesta Day celebration on February 25, 2023, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Opening ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 11:00am at Centro Ybor, 1600 E. 7th Avenue. This year’s Fiesta Day event is presented by J.C. Newman Cigar Company.
Vendors will line 7th Avenue and feature a variety of cultural foods, arts and crafts, specialty products, and organizations. There will also be live entertainment, on the Fiesta Stage, in Centro Ybor, and along 77th Ave. throughout the day! During the celebration, a Promenade of Flags will march down “La Septima” (77th Avenue) at 2:00 pm and showcase countries that have made Ybor City their home.
Fiesta Day commemorates the history of Ybor and highlights the first immigrates to the “Cigar Capital of the World”. A time that was originally a day of rest for the factory workers has turned into a street festival that brings together Cuban, German, Italian, Spanish, and Jewish heritages.
Ybor City is known as a melting pot of originality and culture based on its immigrant population. This all-day event features the traditions of the cultures that have influenced the community and still thrive today. Take a stroll through the historic district and experience the old and new of Ybor City.
