The Friends of Flor Fina Dinner Series returns for its second installment with a winter-inspired evening centered on comfort food, warmth, and connection.
Set within the historic elegance of Las Novedades, this intimate demonstration-style dinner invites guests to gather around the table for a relaxed yet elevated culinary experience. Designed to feel like a modern chef’s table, the evening blends storytelling, live cooking, and thoughtful hospitality, where familiar flavors are reimagined with intention and craft.
🍽️ A Four-Course Menu Rooted in Comfort & Seasonality
The evening opens with Marinated Mozzarella & Melons, a refreshing play of creamy, cool, and bright—local arugula and chimichurri vinaigrette layered with chili oil and crispy prosciutto to awaken the palate.
For the second course, guests are welcomed into deeper, heartier territory with House-Made Boudin Sausage, served over a lemon butter bean cassoulet and paired with a gruyere toast—rustic, rich, and deeply comforting.
The centerpiece of the night, and the evening’s chef-led demonstration, is a slow and soulful Red Wine Braised Short Rib. Tender and aromatic, it’s served atop creamy goat cheese polenta with beef fat confit baby carrots and pea tendrils—an entrée designed to warm guests from the inside out.
Dessert brings a nostalgic smile with our playful take on a classic: a “Snickers” Dessert Course, delivering all the decadent, caramel-nutty joy of the original through an elevated pastry lens.
Throughout the evening, guests will be treated to a curated beverage progression—beginning with a welcoming cocktail, followed by thoughtfully paired wines, and ending with a final cocktail crafted by our bar team to complement the comfort-forward menu.

This is a 21+ event. Event valet parking is available for $10, with nearby city street parking also available.
In the spirit of giving back, a portion of the proceeds from this dinner will benefit Out of the Weeds, a foundation dedicated to supporting Florida’s hospitality workers through financial assistance, wellness programs, and community resources. Their mission is to ensure that the individuals who pour their passion into serving others are cared for in times of need.
Guests will also have the opportunity to make an additional donation at checkout to further support Out of the Weeds and their important work for our hospitality community.
